One of the most enchanting paeonies that I have ever seen is the 'Green Lotus'. It's scented petals are a cool white, flared with lime green colour and tinged with flecks of soft pink. The formation of the petals is very sculptural with a fluting of the uneven edges to create a light ruffle effect. Most intriguing and alluring. This paeony grew on its own at 'Romswood' farm to be enjoyed by Jan, my mother-in-law in the privacy of the homestead garden and home.
