Artist Statement - KATE WALSH

In a world that is crazy and cacophonous, incessantly making demands on us, we sometimes lose our sense of self.

Kate wishes to enter the peace of a quiet place, to allow the inner self to emerge once more. Revisiting fragments of time, moments in the mind’s eye that surface like glitches on a screen and recollections that resonate with emotion, in order to reconnect with the inner voice of the soul. She works with the softness of the snowy Swedish landscape which quietened her spirit and renewed her energy.
